Magnesium is an essential nutrient involved in more than 300 enzymatic reactions in our body, notably in energy production, nerve transmission, muscle relaxation and the body's defences. The first manifestations of its deficiency are neuromuscular and neurological (muscle weakness, dizziness, fatigue...). In the case of prolonged deficiency, muscular spasms, exacerbated irritability, etc., occur**.
